Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Retail National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key retail accounts at a national level. You will drive revenue growth, maximize profitability, and ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail industry, exceptional communication skills, and a results-driven mindset.
- Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national retail accounts
- Understand each account’s unique needs, goals, and challenges
- Develop account-specific strategies to drive sales and profitability
- Sales Strategy:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales plans
- Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the retail landscape
- Revenue Growth:
- Set sales targets and work to achieve or exceed them
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay up to date on company products and industry trends
- Train retail staff on product features and benefits
- Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and national retail accounts
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations
- Forecasting and Reporting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management
- Track and report on key performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in retail sales or account management, preferably at a national level
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel as needed
- PowerBI & Data analytics
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the retail industry and market dynamics
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Other:
- The ideal candidate lives within close proximity to a large airport due to travel requirements of approximately 50%+
