Job Description

The Retail Business Consultant role is critical to the success and the growth of our Aussie Retail network (footprint, broker headcount, productivity, settlements, and market share).

This is a key role responsible for driving the performance, engagement and growth of a region of Aussie Franchise stores, within the Retail channel. Partnering with the Franchisees of stores in South Australia, you will lead, inspire and engage franchisees to achieve their business goals and influence delivery of the Group business plan. 

  • With insight into the individual needs of each store in your region, you will use your business experience and acumen to support Franchisees to grow their business. You will seek to influence outstanding results through the development and implementation of robust business plans that are aligned to the network performance and customer standards of the Group.
  • Embedding the operating cadences, you will conduct regular physical and virtual sessions with each store to coach to franchise performance, business planning, broker development and business development. You will work closely with each store to connect into Group resources and enable tailored plans to support local area marketing, training, recruitment, and retention strategies.
  • You will lead the uplift of the network performance (to budget) and customer standards, through implementing best practice sharing, benchmarking. performance management and broker engagement initiatives for your region.
  • You will lead the retail broker growth strategy in your region, monitoring adherence to Franchise Agreement standards and implementing effective broker recruitment and retention strategies, contributing to the growth, productivity, and market share of your region.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Retail Business Consultant, you will support your franchisees to navigate through each store’s franchise journey, including (but not limited to) store refresh/refit requirements, franchise agreement renewals, store sales and store closures.
  • You will contribute to the implementation of the network market representation strategy in your state through the identification of high quality prospective new franchisees (internal and external), leading to an increased store footprint in your region.

Qualifications

  • Proven success working alongside business owners in a business coaching role
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships and influence others (internal and external)
  • Experience in building and maintaining multi-level business relationships as well as managing franchise relationships in an engaging, professional, and diplomatic manner
  • Industry knowledge of mortgages or lending
  • Ability to understand, interpret, communicate, and influence financial and performance reporting, including but not limited to budgeting and forecasting
  • An adaptable individual with high energy levels to keep up with the pace of change
  • A self-starter, who is motivated by driving others to succeed
  • Experience in making strategic decisions and applying creativity to problem-solving
  • Ability to proactively identify, understand, communicate, and act on current and future risks.
