The Role

AdventHealth Respiratory and Equipment (AHRE) is a leader in providing ventilators, oxygen, sleep apnea treatment, wound care solutions, diabetic solutions, and home medical equipment. A unique joint venture partnership between Advent Health and CarepathRx, AHRE has the unique opportunity to grow significantly as we expand to serve AdventHealth’s expanding footprint of facilities and services throughout Florida.

Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing all DME and RE-SUPPLY orders in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining the highest level of service to both patients and referral sources. This position is onsite and requires the candidate to be physically present at our Daytona office.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and input patient demographics and order information into Brightree (software system). 

  • Handle incoming calls from patients, case managers and referral sources.

  • Determine, and/or prepare all necessary forms required for equipment/supplies

  • Verify insurance benefits and discuss deductibles/coinsurances of rental or purchase items with patients.

  • Be familiar with insurance guidelines in order to determine if and how equipment/supplies will be covered.  Coordinate with Billing Dept as needed. 

  • Request authorizations when needed from insurance companies.

  • Verify phone, address and any other relevant information with the patient to prepare for delivery/shipping. 

  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Shipping and RT Dept. for delivery/set up of equipment.

  • CMN Follow ups

  • Front desk and packing duties as needed

  • Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in DME, required. 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient computer, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be flexible with work schedule and willing to work onsite.

  • Ability to work cooperatively.
