Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Supervise, develop and coach team members to meet production targets, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, root cause identification, and the implementation of corrective and systemic change plans.
  • Oversee all quality-related issues during shifts, ensuring ownership, resolution, and proactive measures to prevent recurrence..
  • Champion a zero-harm culture by identifying areas of safety weakness, developing improvement plans, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Lead root cause analysis for incidents occurring during shifts, implementing preventative measures and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure consistent, timely responses to safety and production-related concerns, driving accountability across all shift activities.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence by setting clear expectations for performance, safety, and continuous improvement on a shift basis.

Principales responsabilités

  • Favoriser et maintenir un environnement de travail sécuritaire en mettant l’accent sur les principes de « Zéro incident ».
  • Soutenir les stratégies opérationnelles à court et à long terme, en veillant à l’atteinte des objectifs budgétaires, des initiatives de réduction des coûts et de la planification de la capacité.
  • Surveiller les plans de conditionnement, les niveaux d’inventaire et l’utilisation de l’usine afin de répondre à la demande des clients.
  • Gérer la performance du site et mettre en œuvre des stratégies visant à améliorer l’efficacité opérationnelle et la productivité.
  • Promouvoir une culture d’amélioration continue grâce aux initiatives Lean, Six Sigma et d’excellence opérationnelle.
  • Assurer la réalisation des processus liés à la qualité, à l’excellence opérationnelle et aux audits.
  • Enquêter sur les incidents de qualité et de service, mettre en place des mesures correctives et réduire les défaillances opérationnelles.
  • Diriger, encadrer et développer les superviseurs et chefs d’équipe de première ligne, tout en soutenant la planification de la relève et les activités de recrutement.
  • Mettre en œuvre des améliorations de processus fondées sur les données à l’aide de l’analyse des causes fondamentales, des évaluations des risques et des meilleures pratiques.
  • Assurer la conformité à toutes les politiques de l’entreprise, aux exigences réglementaires ainsi qu’aux normes de santé et sécurité.
  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des plans de main-d’œuvre afin de soutenir les objectifs opérationnels et commerciaux.
  • Surveiller et analyser les indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) afin d’identifier les tendances et de mettre en œuvre les actions correctives nécessaires.

Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, gestion des opérations, génie, administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Certification Lean Manufacturing et/ou Six Sigma privilégiée.
  • Certification en santé et sécurité considérée comme un atout.
  • Capacité démontrée à diriger des équipes dans un contexte de changement et d’initiatives d’amélioration continue

Expérience

  • 7 à 10 ans d’expérience progressive dans les secteurs de la fabrication, de la distribution, de l’entreposage ou des opérations de chaîne d’approvisionnement.
  • 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipes dans un environnement opérationnel dynamique.
  • Une expérience dans un environnement manufacturier syndiqué est fortement souhaitée.
  • Succès démontré dans la conduite d’initiatives d’amélioration continue et l’obtention de résultats opérationnels mesurables.
  • Expérience en gestion budgétaire, planification de la main-d’œuvre, productivité et suivi des indicateurs de performance opérationnelle.
  • Expérience en santé et sécurité avec un engagement marqué envers une culture où la sécurité est une priorité absolue.

Compétences et connaissances

  • Solide connaissance des relations de travail et de la législation en matière d’emploi.
  • Expertise en Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, analyse des causes fondamentales, méthodologie 5S et amélioration continue.

Position Purpose

Lead production operations by fostering a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to production teams, ensuring service, cost, productivity, and customer requirements are achieved while driving sustainable business growth and employee engagement

Schedule Details

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Foster and maintain a safe work environment with a focus on Zero Harm principles.
  • Support short and long-term operational strategies, ensuring budget targets, cost initiatives, and capacity planning objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor conditioning plans, inventory levels, and plant utilization to meet customer demand.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through LEAN, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.

  • Implement data-driven process improvements using root cause analysis, risk assessments, and best-practice methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Develop and execute workforce plans to support operational and business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Health & Safety certification is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proven success leading continuous improvement initiatives and delivering measurable operational results.
  • Experience managing budgets, labour planning, productivity, and operational performance metrics.
  • Health and Safety experience with a strong commitment to fostering a safety-first culture.

Base pay range is $79,200 - $110,300 annually
