Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to manage and optimize the organization’s resources and deliver resource management support to the business. This role will also contribute to resourcing strategy for the organization and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to improve company performance. On a day-to-day basis, the Resource Manager is responsible for executing all staffing processes and activities further defined below.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the allocation and assignment of global resources (both full time and contractor staff) to the appropriate projects, placing the right people in the right positions to ensure project success, across the PFMORD enterprise
- Optimize utilization across the business units by making staffing recommendations and decisions in support of a deployment strategy
- Work with senior leadership to understand key resource requirements and ensure the development of resourcing strategies to meet both current and future organizational needs
- Focus on developmental opportunities for staff and plans for staff advancement
- Evaluates opportunities for resource optimization and enhancement using specific tracking tools and integration into the company ERP system
- Advise project teams and financial analysts on how to best navigate and employ the resource management process and provide recommendations to improve business performance
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities on an ongoing and annualized basis to maximize value for the company
- Coordinate hiring plan execution with Human Resources and Finance to ensure appropriately prioritized hiring
- Prepare metrics and summary reports on resourcing activities as necessary
- Negotiate and resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties and identify creative alternatives to address identified issues
- Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to the Business Operations leadership and Executive Team as necessary

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a scientific or healthcare discipline
Other Required:
- Proven experience managing resources in a global service organization, ideally with in the pharma/life sciences industry
- Ability to manage workforce allocations for both full time and contractor resources
- Supervisory experience and ability to manage Business Operations Associates
- Ability to drive and availability for domestic and occasional international travel including overnight stays
Preferred:
- Postgraduate, graduate

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
