Resource Manager, Resource Management

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Resource Manager to join the team. You will optimize the allocation of resources, managing assignments, and ensuring that projects are staffed to meet our goals. You will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen understanding of resource management best practices. This dynamic position requires flexibility and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Resource Allocation & Planning:

• Manage and allocate resources across multiple projects to efficient delivery.

• Collaborate with department heads, project managers, and team leaders to understand resource needs and availability.

• You will develop and maintain a resource management plan, forecasting resource requirements based on project timelines and organizational goals.​

​Resource Optimization:

• Oversee the assignment and scheduling of employees, ensuring that the right skills are matched with the right projects.

• Monitor the workload and performance of team members to prevent overwork or underutilization.

• Assess resource allocation to improve efficiency and increase productivity.

• You will provide analysis and insights around team use ensuring that resources are effectively used throughout the lifecycle of a project.

• Implement resource management best practices and ensure understanding of organizational goals.

​Partner Communication:

• Be the main contact for resource-related queries from project managers and department leads.

• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on resource capacity, utilization rates, and potential bottlenecks.

• Facilitate resource review meetings to ensure projects are adequately staffed.

You will report to the Senior Resource Manager.

​Qualifications:

• 4 +  years' of experience in resource management, project management, or a related field

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

• Experience working in Netsuite and OpenAir (preferred)

• Experience working in a professional services environment (preferred)
