Company :

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd
Hastings Deering is searching for an exceptional Sales Support Advisor to join our high-performing Resource Industries team.

The successful candidate will ensure every step from quote to delivery runs with precision, clarity and customer focus. You will be the internal conduit between our technical, commercial and operational teams – the person who ensures everything is aligned, documented and delivered on time.

If you're highly organised, thrive on detail and enjoy making things happen behind the scenes, this is the role for you.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Coordinate the full lifecycle of customer orders for new mining equipment and capital parts – from quote to delivery and final customer acceptance

  • Prepare accurate quotations and manage invoicing and build cost tracking

  • Drive post-build reviews and improve the performance of standard jobs

  • Lead tender specification reviews and collaborate across internal stakeholders

  • Provide accurate equipment build status updates to Account Managers and customers

  • Liaise with suppliers, Caterpillar, shipping partners and customs agents to ensure end-to-end alignment

  • Maintain data integrity in internal sales systems and documentation

  • Provide timely, professional communication and reporting to all stakeholders

  • Support and coordinate complex new equipment deliveries - including site travel as required

What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in sales coordination, order management or project support – ideally in mining, industrial or heavy machinery sectors

  • Acute attention to detail and confidence working with budgets, quotes and delivery schedules

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines

  • Comfortable collaborating across departments, managing processes and proactively resolving roadblocks

  • Confident communicator – able to work effectively with technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ideally in Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP system

  • Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, BHP/BMA sites, or a mechanical/technical background is highly desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics or related field (preferred but not essential)

Why join us?
  • Competitive remuneration with annual salary reviews

  • Salary continuance insurance

  • Paid parental leave

  • Employee discounts – health insurance, vehicles, travel and more

  • Flexibility and inclusion at the core of our culture – through our Together as One program

  • Ongoing training, career development and progression opportunities

  • A team that values your contribution, encourages collaboration, and recognises your efforts
