About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) Level I to join our team supporting the Joint Region Marianas (JRM) at their facilities on Guam (Naval Base Guam (NBG), and Marine Corps Base (MCB) Guam). In this critical role, you will directly contribute to JRM's mission by implementing energy conservation measures, reducing operational costs, and promoting environmental sustainability across these vital military installations. Your work will have a tangible impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of JRM's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct energy audits of JRM facilities on Guam (NBG & MCB).
- Review and analyze utility metering and billing data for NBG and MCB Guam.
- Identify and develop energy conservation measures (ECMs) for implementation.
- Prepare life cycle cost analyses (LCAs) and comprehensive project documentation.
- Develop and manage energy management projects, ensuring timely completion.
- Recommend and implement Operations & Maintenance (O&M) improvements for increased energy efficiency.
- Collect and analyze data, creating accurate and insightful reports for JRM leadership.
- Conduct energy awareness and training activities for base personnel.
- Conduct measurement and verification services to track ECM effectiveness.
- Support building commissioning activities.
Required Work Experience/Education
- Must meet one of the following:
- A four-year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in energy management.
- An Environmental Science, business, or related degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management.
- A two-year technical degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management.
- A non-degreed REM with a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management.
Required Experience
- Must possess Certified Energy Management (CEM) certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven organization and project management skills.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced and potentially unstructured environment.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into practical processes and tactical plans.
- Proficient in standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrates leadership by example and facilitates open communication.
- Knowledge of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Ability to audit complex systems, diagnose inefficiencies, and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to conduct fieldwork to identify energy conservation opportunities.
Desired Experience
