Job Description

CEDA is currently hiring a Resource Coordinator in Fort McMurray to join our Pressure & Vacuum team. In this role, you’ll be at the centre of field operations based on the Syncrude site, coordinating schedules and resources across the region to help keep operations organized, efficient and ready to respond to changing demands.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain personnel schedules across multiple sites and service lines, balancing client requirements, skills, training and resource availability
  • Optimize schedules and resource utilization by filling available hours, adjusting shifts and reducing non-billable time
  • Work with Operations and field teams to communicate schedule requirements and publish weekly schedules
  • Support turnaround and project activities by coordinating resource schedules and allocations, including work in other regions and service lines
  • Track schedule variances, including sick time, vacation, suspensions and leaves, and coordinate return-to-work requirements in line with company policies
  • Coordinate new hire site readiness, including first-day requirements, site and shift schedules, training and badge activation
  • Support Operational Leads with specialized team assignments, progression plans and training requirements based on skills, qualifications, schedules and availability
  • Coordinate camp, accommodations and flights, and facilitate client reporting requirements such as DFR and committed equipment availability

Role Specifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a coordinator role with direct communication to field resources and operational leaders is required
  • 1-3 years of experience maintaining a year-round and/or project-based workforce schedule is preferred
  • Previous experience in the oil & gas industry and/or a people-based service environment is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills for managing and analyzing large data sets, creating formulas and pivot tables, and developing tracking and reporting tools
