Job Description

In this compelling leadership position, you will lead efforts to implement processes, procedures, and standards to anticipate, identify, respond to, and recover from short- and long-term disruptions to business processes and critical technology assets. In this role, you will ensure the understanding of how the business and technology recognize existing and future risks, and capture strategies to mitigate impacts to Fannie Mae. In addition, you will integrate risk management disciplines, with a strategic focus on risk identification, documentation of recovery plans, and testing of documented recovery and/or mitigation strategies.

You will serve as the technical resiliency subject matter expert throughout the technology lifecycle, helping teams translate recovery objectives and resiliency requirements into actionable implementation plans, recovery capabilities, testing strategies, and operational readiness activities. As the Director, you will work collaboratively with technology teams to ensure critical services are recoverable, measurable, testable, and capable of meeting recovery objectives during technology failures, cyber events, and regional disruptions. Your key focus areas will be resiliency integration in technology lifecycle, implementation readiness, testing, and validation across cloud (AWS) hosted services and supporting technology platforms.

The Resiliency Director - Technology & Third Party role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team and the identification of risks to business operations, and work with leadership to develop solutions to minimize disruption.

  • Drive the implementation of contingency plans to deal with unexpected emergencies, and may assist with plan development.

  • Anticipate and react to change in ways that enable the organization to survive, thrive, and evolve.

  • Oversee team efforts to identify indicators that give management a view of current levels of resilience.

  • Due to the nature of the role, situations may arise that require attention and/or resolution outside of standard working hours

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 8 years

  • Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.

  • Experience supporting AWS-hosted production environments.

  • Experience working closely with engineering and architecture organizations.

  • Knowledge of cloud recovery capabilities, backup technologies, automation, and operational recovery processes.

  • Experience in leading complex projects involving cross functional teams.

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent;

  • Master degree preferred

  • AWS certification

  • Resiliency certification

Target Salary Range: $155,000 to $209,000 a year

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. This position is eligible to participate in a Fannie Mae incentive program (subject to the terms of the program).
