Job Title: Graduate Residual Value Analyst
Job Type: Permanent Employment

Job Location: Bracknell, 3 days in office
Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Graduate Residual Value Analyst to join our team and support residual value (RV) analysis across our international fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to develop their expertise in automotive finance, vehicle pricing and remarketing.

Working closely with the RV Manager and wider team, you will help analyse vehicle values, monitor used-car market trends and support pricing and fleet investment decisions across a number of countries. You will learn how to apply our central RV methodology to different local markets, using data and market insights to help the business make informed decisions.

The role combines hands-on data analysis, regular reporting and collaboration with teams across Remarketing, Procurement, Finance and Fleet Planning. You will receive guidance and support as you develop your technical skills and commercial understanding.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Support residual value forecasting by collecting, analysing and interpreting vehicle market data for your assigned countries.
  • Assist with pricing reserve analysis for vehicles being prepared for remarketing, helping the team understand potential resale values.
  • Support new-vehicle deal evaluations by analysing proposed vehicle costs, expected residual values and relevant market data.
  • Monitor used-vehicle market trends, including changes in vehicle prices, manufacturer incentives, repurchase programmes and wider economic conditions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather market information, validate assumptions and support vehicle disposal planning.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track residual value performance and share insights with the RV Manager and wider business.
  • Maintain and improve data quality by identifying inconsistencies, investigating anomalies and highlighting potential issues to the team.
  • Research electric vehicle (EV) and alternative-fuel residual values, developing an understanding of changing customer demand, regulation and market conditions.
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis to support Procurement and Remarketing decisions, helping turn data into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Benchmark vehicle values and performance against external data providers, competitor trends and relevant market information.
  • Help improve analytical tools and processes, contributing ideas to make reporting more efficient and support the development of our central RV methodology.
  • Explore AI and data tools to support research, analysis and report preparation, ensuring all outputs are checked for accuracy.

What You'll Bring
  • A university degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business or a related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A strong interest in the automotive industry, vehicle pricing, finance or data analytics.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and draw logical conclusions.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data manipulation and pivot tables. Familiarity with Power BI or SQL would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly to colleagues from different business functions.
  • An interest in understanding residual values, vehicle depreciation, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and manufacturer repurchase programmes. Previous knowledge is welcome but not essential.
  • An interest in using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude to support research and analysis, with the judgement to check and validate outputs before relying on them.
What We Can Offer
  • Generous Leave: 25 days of annual holiday, plus bank holidays, with additional entitlement as your length of service increases.
  • Employee Assistance Programme: 24/7 mental health and wellbeing support through Health Assured.
  • Employee Discounts: Discounts on car rental across Avis Budget Group
  • Pension Contribution: Access to a company pension plan to help you plan for your future.
  • Friends and Family Discount: Special rates for friends and family.
  • Onsite Amenities: Free parking and access to a small onsite gym at our Bracknell headquarters.
  • Learning and Development: The opportunity to build specialist analytical and commercial skills while learning from experienced colleagues in an international business.
