About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager Pacific Islands, the RESH Manager role provides support for implementation of Essity Australasia’s Health & Safety Strategy, I Care culture and OHS Management System across Essity, Pacific Islands business.
The RESH Manager plays a significant role in driving a proactive safety culture and motivating teams. It also contributes to the maintenance of a safe physical and mental work environment by facilitating the effective use of a range of OHS tools and processes to implement OHS programs and drive compliance.
What You Will Do:
- Working with site Operations Manager, RESH Team, People & Growth Manager and other business leaders to support the implementation of the Essity Australasia’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System through:
- Leading the development and achievement of Annual OHS Plans.
- Lead Critical Risk Reduction.
- Responsible for Risk Assessments and Incident Investigations that build sustainable risk management solutions.
- Implementation of compliance tools, including the HASAWA Act 1996 and Internal Audit Program, to ensure OHSMS and regulatory requirements are understood and met.
- Maintain OHS databases including Damstra and Online Inductions.
- Lead Health & Wellbeing initiatives
- Demonstrating safety leadership and driving a positive and proactive safety culture.
- Analysis and communication of KPI’s and OHS statistics with recommendations to future strategy improvements to improve culture and risk profile, reduce risk of injury and non-compliance.
Who You Are:
- Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or higher.
- 5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Experience in OHS System maintenance and implementation
- Registered Trainer with Ministry of Employment or Fiji National University would be added advantage.
