About the role
Our Apprenticeship programmes have become well established over many years within our various sites in the UK, and we are proud to see the success and development of the employees who began their career on our apprenticeship programmes.
This two year apprenticeship programme leads to a nationally recognised Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician qualification. Upon completion of the course, you will be encouraged to apply for a position at one of our sites.
What you will do
You will report directly to our Training Lead, who along with his team will invest time and effort in helping you make the most out of this opportunity. You will also have a dedicated mentor who will help you succeed at work and at college.
During your apprenticeship you will learn to work in an efficient and confidential way, and develop skills such as:
- Understand and communicate the expected success criteria of the RESH activities in line with the site.
- Support the organization in the achievement of RESH expectations.
- Understand and complete data entry relating to department KPI’s and compliance requirements.
- Provide support in maintaining and training use of the Gensuite system.
- Provide support in implementation of the RESH Global Programs.
- Work with teams to complete Job Safety Analysis.
- Maintain RESH training matrices, training records and provide training on site specific training requirements.
- Support during internal and external audits.
- Complete RESH tours and create action plans to improve any areas needing attention.
- Take part in engagement activities and support operational teams in rolling out.
- Attend safety meetings.
- Act as a representative of the RESH Team in daily operational meetings.
We’ll provide all of the tools to help you succeed. In return we ask you to bring your enthusiasm and passion to learn and develop.
Who you are
We keep our list of requirements short, but there are a few that you will need:
- You will have a minimum of 4 GCSE qualifications at standard grade C/grade 5 or above, including Maths and English
- You will be committed, focussed and keen to learn and develop
- Ability to be flexible and manage time effectively across multiple priorities
- You will demonstrate problem solving skills and resilience
- You will have a keen interest in data analytics with willingness to learn Power BI
- Confidence and ability to challenge status quo
- Clear and strong communication skills
- Be happy to work as part of a of a team
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages
