Job Summary
The Ekofisk/Eldfisk Development Reservoir Engineer monitors and analyzes well and regional reservoir performance and recommends actions to optimize the economic performance of GEA assets. The role requires close collaboration across Development, Wells, and Operations, and includes well and field surveillance, waterflood pattern analysis, reservoir model validation and updates, drilling and well planning input, production forecasting, and reserves estimation.Position Overview
Key ResponsibilitiesManage reservoir performance and surveillance tools across field, region, pattern, and well levels.
Analyze well performance to identify underperforming wells and workover opportunities.
Use and improve the tracer monitoring program.
Support multidisciplinary evaluations to justify targets and confirm economic viability of drilling options.
Evaluate development opportunities, including new drilling targets and well interventions.
Coordinate with internal teams and partners to communicate and execute plans for existing and new producers and injectors.
Share field insights across teams to build alignment and improve performance.
Support forecasts with reservoir performance insights to improve accuracy.
Support and improve field development strategy.
Collaborate with peers across Greater Ekofisk Area and Partner Operated Assets to share lessons learned and align technical work.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant petroleum technology discipline.
Strong analytical and numerical reservoir engineering skills, including experience with secondary recovery methods.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
