As a Research Scientist/Engineer Intern, you will contribute directly to the core scientific and technical foundations to drive our mission. Working closely with the founding team, you will explore, prototype, and validate cutting-edge ideas into applications that support our long-term roadmap.
Key responsibilities :
Build and ship learning-based control systems that power general-purpose humanoid robots in the real world
Train and deploy policies using reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and multimodal foundation-model approaches with embodied perception, reasoning and planning
Hack on simulation and real-world setups to close the sim-to-real gap and move faster from experiment to deployment
Dig into the full robotics stack to chase down latency, bottlenecks, and weird failure modes
Create intuitive teleoperation and human-in-the-loop tools to accelerate data collection and evaluation
Staying on top of relevant academic and industrial trends and identifying promising AI approaches for adoption
A strong drive to get humanoid robots working in the messy real world, not just in papers or demos
Ability to take full ownership : spotting problems, proposing solutions, and pushing them through to deployment
Strong academic background in Robotics, AI, Machine learning, computer vision, control systems, or a closely related field (PhD, and exceptional Master’s, or final-year engineering students)
Understand state of the art in robotic manipulation control policies, and advancing the technological frontier in an impactful and efficient way
Experience with deep learning for robotics (RL, IL, VLA, or related), plus comfort jumping between code, data, and hardware
Production-level Python or C++ skills
Care for details: clean code, reliable experiments, and datasets that don’t crumble under pressure
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
Excellent communication in English
Bonus : you’ve tinkered with humanoids before
A fast-growing startup environment with autonomy and learning opportunities
A young, dynamic team where you can make an impact
Start date : Flexible (preferably early 2026)
Contract : Internship (3/6 month, under school agreement)
