As a Research Sales & Account Executive specializing in rankings sales at Newsweek, you will drive revenue by selling licensing and marketing opportunities to top-tier businesses and institutions that have been recognized through data-driven and editorially backed evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to identify and engage prospective clients for rankings licensing.
- Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
- Actively manage and track a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools, maintaining up-to-date client records and progress reports.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior leaders, including CEOs, CMOs, Chief Sustainability Officers, and other C-suite executives.
- Conduct engaging client presentations—both virtual and in-person—to highlight the value of rankings licensing and the benefits of aligning their brand with Newsweek’s trusted evaluations.
- Provide personalized solutions to meet client needs and maintain long-term client satisfaction.
Product Expertise and Communication:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Newsweek’s ranking methodologies, research processes, and the impact of licensed badges.
- Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that showcase the unique value and credibility offered by Newsweek’s rankings.
- Address client questions and effectively communicate how rankings can boost market differentiation and consumer trust.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Offer strategic insights to internal teams based on client feedback and market research, suggesting enhancements and identifying growth areas.
Negotiation and Contract Administration:
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring outcomes that align with both client needs and company policies.
- Draft and manage licensing agreements and monitor client compliance, proactively following up on renewals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of successful business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, ideally within media, licensing, or a related sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience in client relationship management, with an ability to engage C-level executives.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms for tracking leads and managing accounts.

Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 base salary commensurate with experience + commission opportunity
