- Traveling frequently to selected locations; may include overnight travel

- This position involves standing, walking and climbing stairs, and transporting equipment and materials such as laptop computers and notebooks weighing 20 pounds or more
- Reaching out to local venues by phone, by email, or in person; identifying the decision maker within the venue; and clearly explaining the purposes of the study to gain their agreement to participate
- Through venue recruitment efforts, recruiting up to 20 local venues to participate in the study
- Onboarding venue staff to the study, maintaining good study relationships with venue managers, owners, and staff throughout duration of study
- Encouraging staff to sign up for the study through active screener participation on the spot using project tablet or using passive staff recruitment materials
- Launching each wave of data collection by posting passive recruitment materials throughout the venue; closing each wave by collecting all passive recruitment materials when participation targets have been met
- Conducting active intercept recruitment of patrons at venues using a tablet for 5-minute screeners, paying $10 cash incentives upon completion
- Maintaining study supplies (flyers, table tents, etc.) at each venue, and conducting periodic venue assessments (a short survey liaisons complete about each venue)
- Must possess High School Diploma or GED
- Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening
- Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
- Available for entire training and data collection period
- Able to successfully complete training
- Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile available for business use
- Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other associated equipment
- Access to password-protected Wi-Fi connection for data transmissions and administrative responsibilities
- Effective decision-making and task management skills
- Able to accurately account for incentive money paid out to respondents and request replenishments
- Able to obtain, safeguard, and submit all expense receipts for client records and reimbursement
- Able to keep project information confidential
- Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark
- Due to nature of drinking establishment hours of operation, afternoons, evenings, and weekends will be required for most tasks
- Be comfortable in bar, brewery, or music venue settings, including busy and loud establishments
- Must have flexible availability to work on specified dates/times determined by the venue recruitment effort
- Positive, self-motivated, curious, and enjoy interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Effective time, schedule, and workload management skills to meet set deadlines
- Computer skills, namely email and internet proficiency
- Associates degree preferred
- Ability to adapt to various social environments and areas
- Ability to complete, organize, safely store, and ship paperwork weekly, and in a timely fashion
