About the opportunity

The Research Integrity and Ethics Support Officer coordinates administrative and operational services for the Research Integrity and Ethics Administration (RIEA) team. Working across research integrity, human and animal ethics, scheduled drugs compliance and data governance functions, you will play a key role supporting projects, training initiatives, reporting activities and stakeholder engagement across the University.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional who enjoys working across multiple teams, managing a varied workload and contributing to initiatives that support the responsible conduct of research.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • coordinate administrative and operational support for the Research Integrity and Ethics Administration team

  • organise meetings, training programs, presentations and events for staff, students and committee members

  • support the delivery of projects, initiatives and compliance activities across multiple research governance functions

  • manage stakeholder communications and build effective working relationships across faculties and professional service units

  • coordinate reporting activities, including data collection, analysis and preparation of reports

  • apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures to support operational and compliance requirements.

About you

  • experience in operational, administrative or project support roles, preferably within a complex organisation

  • experience collecting, analysing and reporting on operational or compliance data

  • demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedural requirements

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using business systems and databases

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience

  • experience within the higher education sector and familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI will be highly regarded.
