The Opportunity

As a Research Innovation Analyst, you will support RSM’s Client & Market Insights team by working with research and business data from multiple sources and turning it into accurate, clear, decision-ready findings. Your work will span primary research, client and customer insights, quality assurance, process improvement, and the responsible use of AI-enabled tools to improve analytical workflows and insight delivery. This role is a strong fit for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys learning new tools, improving processes, and explaining what the data means to non-technical audiences.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare, combine, clean, validate, and document quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources, including survey, customer, CRM, financial, operational, and text data.
  • Analyze research and business data using descriptive analysis, cross-tabulation, trend analysis, qualitative coding, and support for more advanced analysis when needed.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools to support research, data synthesis, documentation, and workflow improvement while applying professional judgment and validating the results.
  • Apply quality assurance by checking figures, reconciling sources, documenting assumptions, and validating outputs before findings are shared.
  • Translate findings into clear reports, presentations, dashboards, recommendations, and practical next steps for business stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized research materials, documentation, templates, and reusable assets in approved systems to support efficient reuse and verification.
What You Bring: Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant analytical, business, research, marketing, economics, statistics, data, or social-science field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in research, insights, data analysis, business analysis, customer experience, market research, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience preparing, analyzing, and validating quantitative or qualitative data from sources such as surveys, customer or CRM systems, financial or operational datasets, and text-based information.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to translate data into clear findings, presentations, dashboards, or recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated quality-assurance discipline, such as checking figures, reconciling sources, documenting assumptions, proofreading deliverables, or validating outputs.
  • Attention to detail, sound judgment, collaboration, learning agility, and comfort responsibly using new analytical and AI-enabled tools.
Preferred Qualifications

These qualifications are helpful but not required. RSM-specific tools, methods, and internal practices can be learned after joining.

  • Experience with one or more survey, business-intelligence, statistical, or analytical tools such as Qualtrics, SPSS, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R, or Python.
  • Experience with survey research, customer experience, voice-of-customer, market research, or client-insight programs.
  • Experience using generative AI or enterprise AI tools for research, analysis, documentation, or workflow improvement.
  • Experience testing dashboards, analytical workflows, AI-enabled tools, knowledge bases, chatbots, or automation for accuracy and usability.
  • Experience contributing to executive-ready reports, presentations, dashboards, or recurring insight deliverables.
  • Experience documenting data sources, assumptions, methods, and quality checks.
