We are looking for an experienced market research professional to serve as a primary contact for high level clients on projects in the Financial Services sector, oversee multiple research studies simultaneously, and work with cross-functional teams to execute research projects effectively. The Research Director reports to the VP.
As Research Director, you’ll be expected to:
1) effectively communicate with clients, cross-functional internal teams, and research team members, 2) create and manage timelines, 3) manage client requests, 4) display a deep understanding of research processes and how to maximize efficiency across discrete tasks, and 5) troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
What will I be delivering?Demonstrate ownership/initiative on assigned projects
Oversee and independently manage all aspects of a project, from survey design, field management, data processing, analysis, and especially report writing
Work closely with VP and manage project outcomes
Day-to-day client communications and updates, support client requests on time, lead client meetings
Generate strong client relationships and delivery skills that lead to repeat business from current clients or extensions of them
Design or review surveys created from client business questions
Design and write custom research reports with actionable insights and recommendations and present findings to our clients
Knowledge of weighting and/or multivariate analytical techniques
Self-motivated, manage and take responsibility for all aspects of a project from proposal writing and pricing to final report and delivery
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Effective time management, multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
Ability to organize work to meet frequent quick-turn timelines
Persistence to identify and solve survey or operational issues that arise
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong experience with PowerPoint or Google Slides
Understanding of survey programming logic
Ability to write research reports with minimal to no supervision
10 years or more conducting custom market research projects, with primary sector knowledge being financial services
Diverse knowledge of a variety of quantitative and qualitative research techniques
Knowledge of stats and application of advanced marketing science techniques
Experience working on research vendor side, in positions of progressive responsibility
For roles based in California, New York, Colorado, Massachusetts, or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $108,000 - 150,000 USD
Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
