Why This Role is a Game-Changer
The Win-Loss Team partners with top B2B software companies to identify why they win and lose deals. As a Research Director, you won’t just conduct research, you’ll be the trusted advisor, helping executives connect the dots, tell a compelling story, and turn data into action.
This role is about:
✅ Executive-Level Influence – Presenting insights to senior leaders and driving strategic decisions.
✅ Consultative Leadership – Working closely with customers to design and execute impactful research programs that move the needle within their organizations.
✅ Big-Picture Thinking – Translating qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful business recommendations.
What You’ll Get to Own

Shape Strategic Research Programs: Partner with B2B tech companies to design and execute win-loss and churn research that directly influences their business strategies

Advise Senior Leaders: Work with executives to uncover why deals are won or lost, delivering insights that drive product, sales, and go-to-market decisions.

Turn Data into Actionable Insights: Conduct buyer interviews and translate findings into compelling stories and recommendations that help clients gain a competitive edge.

Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, analysts, and editors to ensure research is impactful and actionable.

Expand Your Industry Expertise: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across industries like SaaS, cybersecurity, and fintech, gaining broad market exposure.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:

Has executive presence: You can read a room, advise senior leaders, and communicate insights with confidence.

Comes from a consulting, business intelligence, or strategy background: Think Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Info-Tech Research Group, or similar.

Experience working within B2B SaaS: Have experience in product marketing, competitive intelligence, GTM strategy, or market research.

Is highly analytical & curious: You enjoy digging into data, uncovering trends, and asking the right questions.

Thrives in a high-performance environment: You have experience managing a large book of business and can drive research programs to success.

Has leveraged AI-powered research tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini).

Is familiar with survey creation, reporting, and is a data analysis expertise: You’re familiar with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
How We Work at Klue:

Hybrid. Best of both worlds (remote & in-office) You and your team will be in the office 2 days a week.

Our main Canadian hubs are in Vancouver and Toronto, and most of our teams are located in EST and PST.
