About The Role
As a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate in our Experimental and Analytical Proteomics group, you will have a strong focus on developing and implementing automation methods to optimize proteomic workflows. This role will involve designing, executing, and analyzing proteomics experiments, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive research initiatives.

What You’ll Do and Learn
- Develop and implement automated methods for high-throughput global proteome profiling, phospho-proteomics, and other workflows.
- Interpret and present scientific findings at research meetings. Provide scientific input and propose follow-up experiments.
- Collaborate and communicate across diverse technology development and drug discovery research teams to successfully achieve scientific goals.
- Identify emerging proteomic technologies and establish them within the company.
- Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and presentations to disseminate research findings both internally and externally.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
- At least 1-year relevant industry and/or academic experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
- Background in protein chemistry, mass spectrometry, and bioinformatics tools for proteomic data analysis.
- Proficiency in proteomics software for data acquisition, processing, and statistical analysis (e.g., Skyline, Comet, Peaks, MaxQuant, MSstats).
- Enthusiasm for laboratory research with demonstrated experience independently generating precise and reliable data.
- Team-oriented and highly collaborative with a hands-on approach; takes ownership of projects and advances them with a strong sense of urgency in a startup environment.
- Driven by a fundamental interest to learn, develop new technologies and contribute to drug discovery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Thermo Orbitrap instrumentation.
- Experience with high-throughput screening and robotic liquid handling systems.
- Experience performing day-to-day instrument operation and maintenance, queue management, and troubleshooting of LC and MS/MS systems.
- Experience with handling large, complex data set analysis using R or Python.
- Expertise in analytical mass spectrometry and its application to understanding protein biochemistry and cell biology.
Compensation
The specific compensation package for this role depends on experience, qualifications and level. We anticipate the compensation range to be $60,000 to $111,000 per year.
