Here at STEMCELL Technologies, we are looking for two Research Associates to join our Pluripotent Stem Cell and Epithelial teams within Research and Development (R&D)! In this role, you will support the development of new products, testing and improvement of existing products, and evaluation of competing products and platform technologies. You will perform and troubleshoot laboratory experiments, analyze and communicate experimental results, contribute to technical documentation, literature reviews, and experimental design, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the R&D laboratory.
Please note, this role requires availability for weekend work.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform experiments and data analysis, accurately document experimental observations and calculations, and summarize the findings

  • Troubleshoot experiments, identify abnormal or unexpected trends in data, and validate new products, product components, and technologies related to assigned projects

  • Present data at R&D meetings, providing conclusions and future plans as directed by the supervisor

  • Contribute to ongoing maintenance and operations of the laboratory, including lab cleaning, equipment maintenance, inventory ordering, waste disposal, and lab skills training, whilst adhering to laboratory standards and practices 

  • May provide technical support and training on product use and protocols within R&D and other departments

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences 

  • Experience performing high quality, reproducible laboratory experiments; with molecular biology techniques and cell culture experience considered an asset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in one-on-one and group settings

  • Experience performing statistical analyses and interpreting experimental data with guidance

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

£33,600.00 - £45,400.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package that may include health benefits, retirement savings, and more (depending on region).
