At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance. WHOOP empowers members to optimize their performance through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. WHOOP Labs is the product development research arm of WHOOP, focused on conducting human subjects research to develop next-gen features and technology.

As a WHOOP Labs Research Associate, you will work alongside the WHOOP Labs team to execute remote studies and manage participant communications for Digital WHOOP Labs initiatives. You will also execute in-person research studies at WHOOP Labs in Boston. Your efforts will support the organization as we continue to push the envelope and lead the wearables industry.

  • Identify common questions and update supporting documentation (e.g. FAQs) with new information when appropriate
  • Monitor data submission and reach out to prompt participants with reminders if they are noncompliant
  • Support troubleshooting or other participant issues during the study window
  • Help manage the general study inbox and respond to any incoming queries about the studies you own
  • Collaborate closely with study stakeholders to ensure they are informed of study status and aligned with any protocol changes or guidance you are providing
  • Assist with usability, comfort, and interaction testing of WHOOP hardware and app features
  • Follow structured testing protocols and log observations and participant feedback
  • Attend weekly project check-ins and provide concise, accurate updates
  • Maintain documentation of your study procedures, participant communications, and protocol changes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong technical writing skills with demonstrated ability to compose clear instructions, protocols, reports, and supplemental documentation for a range of stakeholders
  • Experience writing surveys and applying best practices in survey design and deployment
  • Experience related to technical troubleshooting, customer service, or operations in a research, UX, or product setting
  • Experience communicating with study participants in person, via email, and through SMS
  • Experience handling personally identifiable information (PII) and/or protected health information (PHI)
  • Exposure to or interest in human factors, user experience, behavioral science, or physiological research
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in any relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Human Factors, Public Health, HCI, Cognitive Science, or similar)
