The Computer Science Department (CSD) is one of the seven academic departments in the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS). Our environment is demanding and fast-paced, but it's also innovative, flexible and highly collaborative. We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team. This Research Assistant will work on the SteelEagle project, research pertaining to edge computing for drone autonomy.
Core Responsibilities
- Follows research plans, collect, record, and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
- Works with project PI to collect, record and assess research data.
- May write and test code according to project specifications.
- Assesses data and analyzes results.
- May test software prototypes.
- May interact with research subjects to perform job functions.
- Performs basic data analysis to product reports. Documents results and processes.
- Performs library research and field explorations.

- Experience with research protocols and data collection
