The CS Research Department within the School of Computer Science is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Enso Project. The RA will be responsible for the software development and evaluation of (a) an Enso-based policy layer and (b) an Enso-based scheduler integrated with the Linux kernel. The RA will contribute to the development and publication of two papers describing the policy layer and scheduler respectively.

Core Responsibilities

  • Follows research plans in order to collect, record, and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
  • May test software prototypes. May interact with research subjects in order to perform job functions.
  • Performs basic data analysis in order to product reports. Documents results and processes.
  • Performs library research and field explorations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience with Linux OS and Linux Kernal development
  • Experiencec in research, data analysis and research records management
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Requirements

  • Successful background investigation may be required.
