LOCATION:  Full-time, onsite in Herndon, VA
We’re seeking a skilled Research & Operations Specialist who brings deep experience in complex database querying, rapid adaptation to new systems, and the operational discipline required to support high‑visibility mission needs. You’ll collaborate closely with client QA/QC teams, contribute to process improvements, and play a key role in training and mentoring new search team members.

Key Responsibilities
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:
• Six or more years of experience searching/querying databases with the ability to quickly adjust to new systems
• Bachelor’s degree in any liberal arts, scientific or technical discipline will be considered equivalent to three (3) years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree is equivalent to an additional year of experience
• A driven self-starter who collaborates with client QA/QC staff and has the capability to recommend and to adapt to new processes
• Participates in the training of newly assigned search team members
• Must be a team player willing to collaborate and develop robust relationships with clients, colleagues and technical teams
• Skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and multitask in order to meet tight deadlines
• Goal oriented individual who is able to apply critical thinking and provide out of the box solutions
• Experience with data calls and quick reaction tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and various management levels delivering a proactive experience and approach to high quality services for all stake holders
• Must possess an active TS//SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment.

Highly Desired Qualifications
Other skills and demonstrated experiences with or in the following are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work include:
• Prefer someone with degrees or experience in Information Management, Library Sciences or Records Management
• Experience with quick reaction tasks (for example, searches in response to litigation)
• Experience creating search terms using Boolean, Lucene or Structured Query Language.
