Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Research Analyst to join our neurobiology lab focused on high-resolution connectomics and advanced microscopy. Our research utilizes high-throughput serial electron microscopy and novel structural imaging techniques to map complex neural circuits and investigate brain ultrastructure. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations, execute complex tissue preparation protocols, and assist with large-scale data acquisition on high-value imaging instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize different microscopy techniques including confocal light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy of mammalian nervous tissue.
  • Participate in regular 1 on 1 meetings, group presentations as well as opportunities to present work at national scientific conference.
  • Provides technical and administrative support for a research project.
  • Collects and enters data. Assists in analyzing data. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
  • Assists with the installation, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
  • Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.

Education:
