What You Will Do
- Define, analyze, and document requirements across multiple domains (functional, non-functional, safety, and cybersecurity).
- Translate stakeholder and regulatory needs into clear, testable, and traceable specifications.
- Maintain bidirectional traceability between stakeholder needs, system design, implementation, and verification artifacts.
- Collaborate with System Architects to ensure architectural feasibility and alignment with compliance requirements.
- Work with the Process Managers to ensure all requirements meet ASPICE process quality and pass defined release gates.
- Support change control and impact analysis during requirement updates and baselining.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing traceability and verification evidence.
- Drive consistency in documentation and adherence to ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, and ASPICE frameworks.
- Collaborate with test and verification teams to ensure all requirements are verifiable and validated.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the requirement management and release processes.
- What You’ll Work On
- Functional Requirements: System behaviors, interfaces, diagnostics, OTA, or infotainment features.
- Non-Functional Requirements: Performance, latency, resource utilization, reliability, maintainability.
- Safety & Cybersecurity Requirements: Compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, risk and hazard tracking.
- Traceability & Tooling: Management of ALM, configuration control, compliance dashboards.
- Verification & Audit Support: Work with testing teams to ensure full requirements coverage exists.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in requirements engineering, systems engineering, or compliance-driven software development.
- Hands-on experience with requirements management tools (IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion, or similar).
- Familiarity with automotive standards such as ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, and Automotive SPICE.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (V-model, Agile, or hybrid).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills in English (Japanese a plus).
Nice to Have
- Experience working on embedded or automotive software (infotainment, connectivity, or ADAS).
- Knowledge of vehicle network protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience preparing audit evidence or participating in ASPICE/FUSA assessments.
- Understanding of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or SysML/UML.
- Background in safety-critical or regulated domains (automotive, aerospace, medical).

- Comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity in cross-functional environments.
- Collaborative communicator — bridges product, engineering, and compliance teams.
