Account Manager Smurfit-WestRock- La Tuque

Account Manager Smurfit-WestRock- La Tuque with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service they provide; and identify new product opportunities and selling to existing customers. The Account Manager’s sole focus is to maintain revenue, price capture and to improve gross profit. Maintain and build assigned business relationships.

  • Review treatment programs and processes within the account ensuring effective applications through routine testing and monitoring resulting in customer satisfaction and business retention. 

  • Conduct the necessary site and LMS/classroom training programs to understand the overall operations of the territory plants and new customer sites.

  • Sell new business and new applications in your territory – develop and implement sales plans on new opportunities.  

  • Manage profitability of the account (pump settings, pricing, accounts receivable).   

  • Review account applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree).  Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree.

  • 1-3 years industry experience (pulp & paper or water treatment preferred) 

  • Documented results solving complex and non-routine technical problems. 

  • Project management of complex projects 

  • Strong relationship management skills 

  • Experience learning new concepts and/or technology and applying them. 

  • Ability to work with autonomy and direct/coach indirect reports. 

  • Experience working with multi levels in an organization to achieve results. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Experience using a consultive sales process. 

Required:

  • Must be fluent in both spoken and written French.

  • Must be available to respond to emergency call-ins during nights and weekends.

  • Must reside within a one-hour commute of the mill.

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools.

Le ou la titulaire du poste est principalement responsable de créer de la valeur pour le client qui lui est attribué grâce à son soutien technique, tout en identifiant de nouvelles occasions d’affaires et en développant les ventes auprès du client. Le rôle du représentant de comptes consiste à maintenir les revenus, optimiser la capture des prix et améliorer la marge brute. Il ou elle doit également entretenir et développer les relations d’affaires avec les clients assignés.

Responsabilités

  • Examiner les programmes de traitement et les procédés chez le client afin d’assurer l’efficacité des applications grâce à des tests et un suivi régulier, favorisant ainsi la satisfaction de la clientèle et la rétention des affaires.

  • Effectuer les formations nécessaires sur site ainsi que les formations LMS/en salle de classe afin de bien comprendre les opérations globales des usines du territoire et des nouveaux sites clients.

  • Développer de nouvelles opportunités d’affaires et promouvoir de nouvelles applications du client  en élaborant et en mettant en œuvre des plans de vente pour les nouvelles opportunités.

  • Gérer la rentabilité des comptes (réglages des pompes, tarification, comptes clients à recevoir).

  • Évaluer les applications et les processus/procédures du client afin d’identifier et de mettre en œuvre des améliorations en matière de santé et sécurité.

Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en sciences ou dans un domaine technique pertinent. Une expérience pertinente pourra être considérée en remplacement du diplôme technique.

  • De 1 à 3 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie (préférablement dans les secteurs des pâtes et papiers ou du traitement des eaux).

  • Antécédents démontrés dans la résolution de problèmes techniques complexes et non routiniers.

  • Expérience en gestion de projets complexes.

  • Excellentes compétences en gestion des relations d’affaires.

  • Capacité démontrée à apprendre de nouveaux concepts et technologies et à les appliquer efficacement.

  • Aptitude à travailler de façon autonome et à encadrer ou conseiller des collaborateurs sans lien hiérarchique direct.

  • Expérience de collaboration avec différents niveaux de gestion au sein d’une organisation afin d’atteindre les objectifs.

  • Excellentes habiletés de communication orale et écrite.

  • Expérience de vente consultative.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $75,220.00 and 100,290.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
