We are seeking a talented Reporting and Technical Team Leader - Business Intelligence to join us in Cluj-Napoca, Romania at our EMEA Technology Hub. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As the Reporting and Technical Team Leader within the Career Products Business Intelligence team, you and your team will lead the design, development, and deployment of reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organization. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions, along with maintaining underlying technologies and existing reporting

We will count on you to
- BI Design & Development: Oversee the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of scalable BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models using tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, and Databricks. Guide the transition of solutions to Databricks and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Data Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce data quality, integrity, security, and governance standards across all data sources and reporting assets.
- Requirements Translation & Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business objectives, translate needs into technical specifications, and communicate schedules, changes, and documentation effectively.
- Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Conduct complex analyses, develop key business metrics and KPIs, and create custom data packages to enhance reporting capabilities and performance. Manage existing data packages and develop new ones as needed.
- Data Integration & Maintenance: Architect and oversee the integration of the BI data warehouse with various data sources (e.g., GPOS, MPower, spreadsheets). Support ongoing maintenance, data loads, and database refreshes, providing backup support for the BI environment.
- Standards & Quality Assurance: Ensure all reports and dashboards meet quality, accuracy, and maintainability standards through peer reviews and adherence to best practices.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with BI technologies and innovations, recommending enhancements to improve reporting and data management processes.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Oversee the project pipeline, prioritize requests, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality BI solutions to meet stakeholder needs.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop a team of BI analysts and developers, fostering a culture of data excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Manage workload, prioritize projects, and support team performance reviews.
What you need to have
- Excellent communication both in English and Romanian
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on advanced report writing and dashboarding solutions. Experience in joining multiple data sources or data subsets, year-on-year and year-to-date analyses, and data segmentation and comparison a must.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing effective reporting solutions, including data modeling, data querying, and visualization best practices.
- Strong knowledge of programming tools such as Python, Java, and VBA, and database querying via SQL. Experience in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience in Cognos or other similar reporting platforms.
- Experience in team management (whether as a formal manager or a senior team member with supervisory responsibilities).

- Proficiency in many/most of our technical tools as Cognos/equivalent, Power BI, SQL, VBA.
- Experience in sales and revenue reporting and analysis, and ability to interpret results and anticipate follow-on analyses.
- Ability to understand complex and multi-faceted rules regarding product-based analyses.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in English.
- Demonstrate curiosity and initiative by identifying and proposing new analyses to uncover client and market trends that influence sales and client retention, effectively operating within a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment across diverse regions.
