The Reporting Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of data processing, reporting and analysis to provide a clear view to leadership allowing them to make decisions based on data. Their duties include creating reports based on their findings and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine the success of business. The candidate will work mainly in the service department and will have interaction with the service leaders in daily basis and provide service insights as “utilization % of workforce” and “time to close an SR”.
What You Will Be Doing
- Creates, develops, and maintains reports, datasets, ad hoc requests and dashboards for the service managers and service leadership using system tools and databases. Leverage and review data and information to monitor reporting performance against agreed service industry metrics.
- Creation of new tableau dashboards, complex data projects, automatization of current reports and identifying future reporting related to the service business.
- Participate in business analysis activities, operation reviews and meetings with service leaders to present data and understand the business from an operational perspective. Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.
- Assist with training and mentoring other Data Analysts and service leaders.
Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:
- 4 - 5yrs experience in reporting and analytics required.
- Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience working in the service industry and an understanding of operational costs required.
- Experience using VBA, Visual Studios and SSMS, and Tableau/Power bi preferred.
- Focus on problem-solving and proactively improving processes.
- Understanding of Financial statements and General Ledger
- Ability to set and meet deadlines under pressure
- Experience creating presentations for high-level leaders required.
- Excellent attention to detail
