The Reporting Accountant is a senior accounting role with responsibility for UK consolidation, intercompany accounting, and statutory reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting junior team members and working closely with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead consolidation and intercompany reporting for all UK entities, coordinating balances with Finning UK, Canada, and Finning International.
Reconcile, record, eliminate, and consolidate intercompany balances within reporting systems.
Compile and manage the production of annual statutory accounts and statutory reporting for the UK and Ireland.
Deliver supplementary financial reporting to support external investor and group reporting requirements, including cash flow (capex and rentex) and footnotes.
Review and support financial processes delivered by Shared Services, including bank accounts, fixed assets, rentals, and other asset accounting.
Ensure balance sheet and income statement transactions are accurate, timely, and IFRS compliant, with a focus on intercompany, rentals, fixed assets, and banking.
Identify financial risks or issues and proactively resolve or escalate as appropriate.
Provide guidance, training, and indirect leadership to junior accounting analysts across SG&A and operational accounting.
Support finance systems maintenance, testing, and issue resolution.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (essential).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a finance or accounting function.
Proven experience in consolidation, intercompany accounting, and statutory reporting.
Demonstrated initiative and confidence in resolving complex accounting issues.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting and IFRS.
Solid understanding of UK and Ireland statutory reporting requirements.
Systems experience highly desirable: SAP, BPC, Analysis for Office (AFO), DBS, Blackline, Kyriba.
Customer-focused with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
Confident to challenge constructively and drive improvement.
