Lloyd’s List has an exciting opportunity for a Reporter, working in the editorial team that spans the world.
This is a full-time, permanent role and will report to the APAC Editor
Role Profile
- The Reporter role in the Lloyd’s List editorial team is tasked with creating daily content for Lloyd’s List’s and the wider Lloyd’s List Intelligence business, where required
- They will work closely with the APAC Editor and Deputy APAC Editor in creating and developing data-led analysis and unique insight to the high standards of Lloyd’s List’s editorial guidelines.
- This role is based on a balanced working model between home and our office in Hong Kong or Shanghai
Key Responsibilities
- Produce daily insight and analysis for the Lloyd’s List website and other channels
- Attend local and/or international news conferences, industry events, webinars, conference calls etc
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders
What we are looking for:
Essential
- Experience in reporting on shipping matters or a related field such as finance or commodities
- Interest in the shipping industry and how today’s geopolitical landscape is reshaping global trade.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks daily and meet tight deadlines
- High proficiency in written and verbal English
- Strong knowledge of media law
- Advanced communication skills to engage with both colleagues and industry C-suite executives
- Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Desirable
- Experience in maritime reporting
- Experience with content management systems such as Sitecore
- Digital editing and production skills including data visualisations, audio and video
- An existing network of industry contacts.
