StaffJob SummaryThe Workday Report Writer I is responsible for all work activities associated with the design, build, test, and maintenance of Workday reports and dashboards. The role also analyzes Workday delivered reports, determines whether current reports can be leveraged for functional use and/or determines whether custom report creation is needed. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional business owners and functional users in all functional areas. They will work with equal effectiveness with workday analysts, security, and peer report writers to ensure best practices are employed to meet the College’s business needs. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage both inside and outside the college, in support of the College’s contributions to the vibrancy, growth, and economic stability of Dallas County, for todays and future generations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze existing data and help map to future data structure in Workday as it relates to reporting
- Develop report specifications, standards, and frameworks across all functional areas to ensure report optimization, security model alignment, and Workday best practices
- Perform report lifecycle activities, including participating in design sessions to capture requirements, build, test, debug, enhance Workday reports and dashboards·
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Act as escalation point for user-reported issues.
- Participates in planning activities, development, and evaluation of technology solutions, working with cross-functional partners to drive innovation.
- Ability to resolve problems, analyze and apply laws, regulations, theories and methodology, research, analyze, apply, and articulate results identifying opportunities.
- Ensure collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best practices among partners and colleagues to embed a robust technological ecosystem.

Minimum and Preferred – Education, Experience, and/or Certifications
Required Qualifications for Role
An Associates Degree in technology or business related field.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High attention to detail
Passion for exceptional customer service
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Workday reports in a timely manner with moderate to little oversight.
Collaborate across the business to understand requirements, configuration, and testing of Workday reports for varying business.
Demonstrate a passion for continual improvement of business process and technology.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with cross functional teams.
The ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies and create a diverse environment.

Work hours may extend beyond the regular, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p m. workday, including weekends and holidays to provide immediate support due to system failures on a 24/7 basis.
