What Account Management - Med Prod contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus areas will include driving new business, providing optimal service, and growth across the lab products portfolio
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings challenges and to provide ongoing support

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Health or Business related fields or equivalent experience will be considered
  • A minimum of two (2) years of sales experience in the medical device industry is preferred
  • Medical technology degree is required
  • Availability to travel in land 90% of the time
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Lift weight up to 50 pounds is required
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point is required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, oral and written is required
  • Willing to travel long distances around the island is required
  • Territory assigned for this position will be north area of the island

  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy
