About The Position
The Renewables Engineer is primarily responsible for designing and reviewing work as it pertains to utility-scale renewable (wind, solar, battery) generation installations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop specifications for new renewable projects through collaboration with internal and external experts.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Company-specific design guidelines and technical specifications for renewable generation projects.
- Assist in project technical negotiations and discussions with engineering/construction firms.
- Manage and conduct reviews for vendor supplied project designs for renewable generation projects.
- Review construction plans from contractors for potential conflicts and recommend actions to prevent or remove conflicts.
- Work collaboratively with other Company departments to ensure on time implementation of project support tasks.
- Support resolution of construction and commissioning questions as issues arise.
- Perform site walkdowns during construction to ensure accurate implementation of project designs.
- Assist in the coordination of large engineering projects. Participate in project development, planning, implementation, and completion.
- Identify and implement improvements in renewables generation engineering to control costs and improve productivity and reliability.
- Research and evaluate new industry developments and best practices to implement into renewable generation standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Electrical or I&C disciplines preferred but other relevant disciplines will be considered with pertinent experience. Professional Engineer (P.E.) License preferred. Five or more years renewable experience or utility engineering experience preferred.
Compensation Range:
$69,300.00 - $168,000.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant’s credentials.
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
