The Principal Product Manager will play a pivotal role in defining, developing, and driving the product strategy and roadmap for our efforts to use AI to dramatically help the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) assess risk and team readiness in new and compelling ways. This role is pivotal to our vision to ensure the success of our new AI cybersecurity products in the market.

What will you be doing as a Principal Product Manager at SimSpace?

Product Strategy & Roadmap:

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on business and customer impact.

Product Development:

  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to develop and deliver high-quality products.
  • Create and manage epic level requirements and assist in story development needed for engineering teams to deliver to your acceptance criteria. 
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch and beyond, ensuring timely delivery.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to align on product goals and priorities.
  • Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Customer Focus:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Work with customer support and sales teams to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Ensure the product delivers a compelling user experience and meets customer expectations.

Performance & Metrics:

  • Define and monitor key product metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to iterate and enhance the product.

What are the qualifications to apply? To be successful as a Principal Product Manager, you need:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management with a proven track record of delivering successful products, or equivalent experience in cybersecurity with security operations (“detection and response” solutions, and/or governance, risk, and compliance solutions
  • Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of the current security markets, technology trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Customer Empathy: In-depth knowledge of the unique challenges facing the modern Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of AI and ML technologies and their application in cybersecurity.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving projects from concept to successful market delivery.
  • Product DIscovery: Experience leading product discovery efforts to frame, develop, and validate early stage product ideas using rapid prototyping and “lean startup” style experimentation
  • Customer-Centric: Passion for understanding and solving customer problems, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
