In your role, you'll be focused on…
- Hands-on design and delivery of our Mobile and Web applications – including planning, testing, building, and releasing new features. (You gotta love writing code!)
- Actively maintaining and optimizing the Mobile Platform infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines and the application release management process.
- Providing technical guidance and support for best practices within our engineering team, spearheading the development of our new employment SuperApp.
- Working across the full technology stack, accelerating the design of new solutions and product features.
- Designing and leading technical best practices (e.g., Git flow, code reviews, coding standards).
- Championing Agile methodologies, and presenting and communicating effectively with stakeholders, senior management, and 3rd party vendors.
- Participating in strategic product and technical decision processes.
- Assisting ongoing integration by subsequent squads back into the platform.
Requirements
You’re the hero we’re looking for if
- You have 4+ years of experience designing and building highly scalable distributed software systems.
- You are experienced with React Native.
- You are an advocate of engineering best practices such as CI/CD, clean code, and automated testing.
- You demonstrate Pragmatism – the ability to assess the situation before taking decisions.
- You are highly collaborative and a team player.
- You have a Strong product mindset – keeping a customer focus when making decisions.
- You possess Strong opinions, loosely held – an ability to evolve with the platform as it grows and scales.
It’ll be great, but not essential, if you also have experience with
- Specific deep experience in defining and implementing mobile app release strategies, including phased rollouts, A/B testing deployments, and advanced store submission processes.
- Understanding of system security requirements and standards compliance.
- Experience in implementing cloud SaaS products (backend).
- A proven track record of providing technical guidance and mentoring within an engineering team
