arrivia is looking for a Group Cruise Specialist to help manage our FIT group cruise inventory and support the sales teams who book it. If you know cruise products, enjoy working with supplier partners, and take pride in keeping inventory and pricing accurate, this role puts that expertise to work.
About the Role
You will coordinate arrivia’s speculative FIT group cruise inventory, establishing group space and maintaining pricing across cruise line programs. Your understanding of each supplier’s requirements will help ensure our teams have accurate information and competitive offers.
Reporting to the Manager, Groups, you will work directly with cruise line and consortia partners and provide guidance to internal sales staff during the FIT group booking process. This is a hands-on coordination role, rather than a position focused on planning individual vacations or selling directly to travelers.
What You’ll Do
- Establish Group Space: Set up cruise groups with vendor partners in accordance with arrivia’s promotional group policies.
- Manage Inventory: Maintain group space and monitor reservation activity to keep inventory information current.
- Review Pricing: Analyze group pricing trends and work with vendors to reprice existing groups when appropriate.
- Coordinate with Partners: Serve as a primary contact for cruise line and consortia partners on FIT group matters.
- Support Sales: Help internal sales staff navigate FIT group programs, booking questions, and cruise line requirements.
- Promote Group Offers: Work with Marketing and Sales to support the promotion of available group inventory.
- Maintain Program Knowledge: Stay current on cruise line FIT group policies, ships, itineraries, and offers.
- Track Activity and Results: Keep the Manager, Groups informed of inventory updates, actions taken, and results.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous travel industry experience, preferably involving cruise group bookings.
- Strong knowledge of cruise lines, ships, and itineraries.
- Proficiency with cruise booking software and relevant travel technology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with supplier partners and internal teams.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple groups and priorities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and work independently.
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Benefits & Perks
- Unlimited PTO
- Exclusive employee travel rates
- Travel discounts through arrivia programs
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company participation
