Job Description:
Counsellor/Psychotherapist - Young Person (YP) - Must be BACP accredited
Fully remote - UK only
Permanent. Full or part time (minimum of 3 days per week -24 hours)
£36,500* per annum plus excellent Bupa benefits
*based on full-time, if part-time this will be pro-rata
Operational Hours:
YP service: 10:00 to 20:00, with a strong preference for after school appointments as these are in high demand meaning 50% of shifts must be a late of 11:30-20:00
This role will be primarily for our young persons pathway, but will also include adult clients too.

Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Counsellor/Psychotherapist, you’ll:
Provide telephone counselling to a varied caseload of young people
Deliver short, medium, and longer-term support depending on individual needs
Conduct mental health triage assessments and manage risk appropriately
Work in line with professional standards and regulatory frameworks
Maintain accurate records and follow Bupa’s policies and procedures
Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure high-quality care
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about supporting young people and confident working independently in a remote setting. You’ll need:
A recognised counselling diploma qualification (Level 4 or higher)
Must have BACP accreditation
At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience working with children and young people
Experience supporting clients with a range of presenting issues, including complex cases
Ideally, previous experience delivering telephone counselling
Strong IT skills – confident using MS Office and MS Teams
A flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends
