Who We Are
McMaster-Carr is a trusted e-commerce company that keeps industry moving. For 125 years, customers have counted on us to deliver the right parts quickly and accurately so they can fix problems, avoid downtime, and keep critical operations running. Our ability to do that comes from world-class execution – robust systems, disciplined processes, and people who take pride in getting the details right.
Our success is built on our people. At McMaster‑Carr, teams work side by side to solve real problems, adapt as technology evolves, and continually improve how we operate. The work is fast-paced, essential, and meaningful. We invest in our people, value collaboration, and create careers where effort, curiosity, and accountability drive meaningful results for customers every day.
What You'll Do
You will learn about many parts of McMaster-Carr’s operations and adapt quickly to new tasks and environments. We look for people who want to build a career, not just fill a job. Over time, success in one area could lead to opportunities in another.
Make an impact and grow your professional skillset through experiences like:
- Solving customer and supplier payment discrepancies. You will trace issues through the full transaction, from purchase to payment, since the root cause is often upstream of the payment itself.
- Distinguishing one-off errors from systemic payment issues. This includes recognizing patterns across cases and deciding what action prevents them from recurring.
- Owning resolutions end to end. You will identify the issue, decide what action to take, and carry it through, whether that means correcting the payment yourself or looping in others.
- Communicating your reasoning clearly. Your work will guide customers, suppliers, and teammates toward a resolution they can understand and act on.
Who You Are
We are looking for broadly skilled, resourceful, and talented people to join our team. Whether you’re an archaeologist, engineer, business student, or thespian, people from a range of backgrounds are successful at McMaster-Carr. We’re interested in your ability to think and find solutions for our customers.
Strong candidates will produce high-quality work efficiently, while thinking creatively and critically to meet new challenges. You will be challenged, and your success will be rewarded.
A bachelor's degree is required for this role.
