Remarketing Specialist

Europcar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Remarketing Specialist to join our Fleet team in a full time capacity based in Head Office, Tullamarine Victoria.

The Remarketing Specialist ensures all company owned vehicles are sold in a timely manner each month across multiple channels whilst maximising residual values in line with targets. This role works closely with various departments to drive country performance to maximise sales, ensure website standards are legally compliant and proactively keep ahead of competitor and market changes.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

1. Dealer Relationship Building & Network Expansion

• Dealer Acquisition: Proactively identify, target, and onboard new motor vehicle dealers and commercial trade buyers to expand direct and online sales channels.

• Relationship Management: Maintain active communication and long-term partnerships with existing dealer networks to ensure steady demand and repeat sales volume.

• Channel Optimization: Continuously evaluate dealer purchasing behaviour and tailor channel offerings (online vs. direct wholesale) to increase conversion rates.

2. Competitive Landscape & Market Intelligence

• Market Trend Analysis: Continuously track competitor pricing, market supply levels, wholesale indices, and consumer demand shifts across Australia and New Zealand.

• Benchmarking: Map out the competitive landscape to ensure company remarketing strategies remain agile and ahead of wider automotive market changes.

• Residual Value Strategy: Collaborate with Fleet Procurement and the Remarketing Manager to analyse market data when setting, reviewing, and adjusting vehicle residual value expectations.

3. Auction House Engagement & Sales Leadership

• Auction Discussions: Lead commercial discussions and strategic negotiations with third-party auction houses regarding schedule planning, inventory positioning, and marketing campaigns for upcoming sales.

• Volume Allocation: Determine optimal vehicle distribution strategies across physical and digital auction platforms to drive bidding competition and maximize return on sale.

• Performance Review: Evaluate auction house clearance rates and average realized values against targets, holding external partners accountable for performance.

4. Forward Planning & De-Fleet Management

• Strategic Pipeline Planning: Develop and execute forward-looking remarketing plans to anticipate incoming vehicle retirements and avoid inventory bottlenecks.

• Turnaround Time Optimization: Work closely with regional fleet operational teams to streamline de-fleet preparation, quality assurance, vehicle presentation, and imagery to minimize turn-time from fleet grounding to sale.

• Salvage & Asset Management: Monitor risk vehicle volumes and salvage disposals through operational tracking and inventory management reports.

5. Commercial & Operational Execution

• Sales Administration: Utilize inventory management and remarketing platforms to process sales, issue commercial tax invoices, and maintain precise stock data accuracy.

• Debtor Management: Assist with timely debtor collection and ensure seamless distribution of sales and transfer documentation to buyers.

• E-Commerce Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations, listing standards, and quality assurance for direct wholesale and digital sales platforms.

To be considered for this position you should possess:

• Experience in Sales, or a similar role.

• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong attention to detail and decision-making capability.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Proficiency in fleet management system
