Boise Cascade is accepting applications for a Reliability Coordinator for our wood products manufacturing facilities in the Western Oregon region (Medford, White City, and Willamina).
About the Role: As a Reliability Coordinator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency and longevity of machinery and systems. This position focuses on the implementation of the wood products’ reliability vision by preventing equipment failures, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity through proactive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.
Primary Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Lead onsite growth of reliability concepts utilizing Boise Improvement Cycle.
- Conduct preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with team to implement reliability improvement projects.
- Utilize reliability tools and methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
- Provide technical support and input for engineering projects and system development.
- Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), variable frequency drives, and communication networks.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent. College degree in manufacturing, industrial, or electrical engineering is a plus.
- One (1) to three (3) years related experience in maintenance or reliability roles within industrial or manufacturing environments. Wood products manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and familiarity with reliability software (CMMS, RCM, FMEA) and industrial control systems is preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and computer abilities, along with advanced math skills.
