Context/ ROLE
Edenred Mobility is launching a digital transformation program to overhaul the experience of fleet managers, drivers and merchants. As part of this initiative, Edenred mobility is looking for a Release Train Engineer role to be filled. It is based in Edenred Development Centre in Bucharest, co-located with most of the team members and working closely with the other tribe’s members based in Germany and Poland.
Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities
The Release Train Engineer will:
- Facilitate and lead scaled Agile ceremonies such as PI Planning, ensuring alignment and collaboration among teams and that team objectives align with overall business goals and priorities
- Track feature progress, facilitate synchronization events (demos, PO syncs)
- Foster collaboration and communication between Agile teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment of efforts across the release train
- Identify, track, and mitigate/reduce/eliminate risks and dependencies within and between Agile teams, ensuring smooth execution of planned activities
- Monitor key performance metrics and report progress to leadership, providing insights into the health and progress of the Agile release train
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices, and refining Agile processes to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and delivery effectiveness
Required skills & profile
Experience
» A senior Release Train Engineer with at least 3 years experience as a RTE or equivalent in an agile team working on API/ back-end systems, and capable to optimize the flow of work through the tribe
» Experience with agile at scale framework (Safe-like) is mandatory
» Experience in the payment industry / core banking would be a plus
» Extensive experience as a Scrum Master facilitating and coaching Agile software delivery teams to successful outcomes.
Knowledge and Skills
» Understanding of the agile principles and how they are applied in the workplace » Knowledge and good practice of SCRUM and SAFe
» Proven track record of delivery proficiency (i.e. experiences have positive measurable outcomes for the customers)
» Problem solver who can clearly identify, analyses, and resolve issues using Data Driven Decisions as they arise
» Capacity to handle dependencies cross teams
» Familiar with Backend development, REST API, databases, customer notifications systems
» Familiar with Frontend development technologies (Angular, javascript, html and css)
» Previous technical experience (for example as SW developer or QA) is not required but it is a big plus. As more details about the technical part, the development team you will be interacting with is using Java/Spring Boot/REST APIs for a microservices architecture solution.
Soft Skills
» The RTE has good communication skills (verbal and written) to facilitate communication between all actors
» Listen to and support teams in problem identification and decision-making
» Maintain and develop an environment that promotes teamwork and provide advice to the employees
» Enthusiastic
Education
» Business or engineering school diploma
» Alternatively, Degree in Information Systems or Finance preferred
» Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe release train engineer are a plus
