The Opportunity:
This position is for a Release Manager in either Aurora, CO, or King of Prussia, PA. We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead our software release efforts. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between development, operations, and business stakeholders, ensuring that software releases are planned, coordinated, and executed efficiently and reliably. This role involves managing the entire release lifecycle, from development to production deployment, and requires a deep understanding of complex systems, a meticulous approach to process, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide requirement transparency and disseminate user feedback across development teams
- Performing requirements management including requirements creation, tracking, flow down, coverage, verification tracking, compliance matrices, etc.
- Developing test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell off events
- Collaborate with user groups and multi-disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Statement of Work
- Supporting the development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities
- Participating in the development and execution of program milestones events such as Customer meetings, internal and formal Government testing events, and discrepancy report (DR) review boards
- Develop and conduct automated integrations tests as part of a robust CI/CD pipeline and generating Test result documentation
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, IT or related field
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with adjudicated CI Poly
- Release Management Expertise: A minimum of 8 years of experience in a software release management, software engineering, system engineering, or similar role
- Systems Engineering Background: Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, system architecture, integration, and validation
- Process Management: Proven ability to define, implement, and optimize release processes, including branching strategies, build pipelines, and deployment automation
- Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Must be able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and senior leadership
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
Desired:
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with Adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Configuration Management: Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum or Kanban environment
- Security Best Practices: Understanding of software security principles and experience integrating security checks into the release pipeline

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
