The Release Manager role is responsible for ensuring that new releases across the QSC Quality, Laboratory, and EHS portfolio are planned and executed efficiently, delivering quality to our users on time, on budget, and in compliance with Haleon’s standards. You will be working with a range of diverse stakeholders such as Product Owners, Product Managers, DevOps and Support Teams, etc., in order to secure safe and successful delivery.
Role responsibilities:
• Coordinating, planning, and maintaining the release roadmap for QSC Quality, Laboratory & EHS applications.
• Release and deployment planning and coordination of multiple parallel releases.
• Planning release go-live and post-go-live activities.
• Planning, coordinating, and tracking change activities throughout the release process.
• Leading release decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each release milestone.
• Planning and setting up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams.
• Increasing release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working to release orchestration.
Role requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in release/deployment coordination or IT project management/planning.
• Fundamental technical knowledge to communicate with the development team(s) and create & validate deployment runbooks in collaboration with the team.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver on your commitments and dependencies to others.
• Accountability, proactivity, ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work in a complex global application environment.
• Experience in Agile Ways of Working.
• Excellent command of English.
• Experience in consulting application roadmaps with stakeholders to deliver valuable and innovative solutions is nice to have.
• Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices is nice to have.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related disciplines.
