Position Summary
We are actively looking for a highly motivated Release Management (RM) Business Analyst (BA). The ideal candidate will be interested in International Development.
The Release Management Business Analyst is expected to work across job functions and collaborate with team members and clients extensively. Your main tasks will include coordinating the release with App Build teams and RM team, ensuring complete and holistic release testing; effectively document and communicate upgrade milestones. You also will be expected to analyze internal processes, determine where they can be improved, and implement sustainable and scalable changes.
This work is on-site in Rosslyn VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- Cultivate subject matter expertise in USRAP processes and START ServiceNow application
- Coordinate releasing with App Build teams and RM team:
- Ensure complete and holistic release testing
- Effectively document and communicate release milestones
- Triage and troubleshoot release testing issues, coordinate with App Build teams towards timely resolution
- Maintain Confluence page release monitoring documentation
- Production level validations for all stories
- Active monitoring in Production for released functionality
- Track and monitor success of delayed go-live (feature flag) releases
- Understand and communicate cross-team impacts of each release
- Cross-team label maintenance and tracking
- Review Release Notes
- ITSM Ticket Monitoring and Analysis for issues related directly to ServiceNow START releases and upgrades
- External DoS Partner coordination and communication:
- Change Request draft and submission
- Communication to App Build Product Owner priority for CRs
- Track and communicate ServiceNow Patches and Maintenances
- Schedule planning and strategy for ServiceNow upgrades
- Ensure complete and holistic upgrade testing
- Effectively document and communicate upgrade milestones
- Triage and troubleshoot upgrade testing issues, coordinate with App Build teams towards timely resolution
- Schedule planning and strategy for ServiceNow clones
- Ensure complete and holistic clone testing
- Effectively document and communicate clone milestones
- Triage and troubleshoot clone testing issues, coordinate with App Build teams towards timely resolution.
- Attends and engages in appropriate RM and SCRUM team Agile ceremonies
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of applicable experience in Agile business requirements or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience creating User stories and defining acceptance criteria
- Ability to support users by investigating, communicating, and resolving their problems
- Direct experience with Software Development Life Cycle and processes in a team environment including Scrum/Agile development
- Experience with Knowledge Management and Data Visualization tools, systems, and processes
- Ability to elicit requirements, develop analyses, determine specification, and verify outcomes in a scrum environment
- ServiceNow experience strongly preferred
Certifications
- Scrum Certification a plus
