Job Summary

The Release Management Analyst will act as the main point of contact for all Release Management activities for the department and be responsible for the orchestration all releases (“Enterprise Releases,” patches, etc.), including written communication to impacted TMNAS companies and stakeholders. The Analyst will be running multiple meetings from release planning to readiness review meetings. Working across multiple technical, QA, and User Acceptance teams, the Analyst will ensure all development and testing efforts are complete and are compliant with the published Release Management processes. Also, adherence to Change Management processes, including completion of tasks, approvals, and representation during the designated Change Advisory Board meetings, is required. As part of management of all releases, the Analyst will work with Project Managers to orchestrate all necessary milestones for Release Management, QA, User Acceptance, and Change Management teams. Lastly, the Analyst will create and maintain Release-related metrics and communicate them to the varying management stakeholders.

The Analyst will also act as a secondary [Non-Production] Environment Analyst as needed. The candidate will assist in the coordination of environmental refreshes across Group Companies and coordinate with Project Managers including environmental allocations. The Analyst will handle all environment related communications, meetings, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end orchestration of planned production releases (planning → readiness → deployment → verification), including creation of a yearly release calendar/cadence, stakeholder communications, and deployment tracking
  • Facilitate core release ceremonies (planning/readiness/stand-ups) and publish the artifacts (agenda, decisions, action items, risk/issue log, and go/no-go outcomes) with clear owners and due dates
  • Coordinate cross-team Enterprise Release readiness (App Dev/QA/UAT) by validating entry/exit criteria, tracking dependencies, and escalating blockers to protect the release date while maintaining adherence to release management standards
  • Drive change record quality and completion: review change tickets as needed, ensure evidence/approvals/implementation & backout plans are complete, in CAB through closure (including post-implementation validation)
  • Partner with Project Managers for major go-lives by creating implementation plans, by defining integrated milestones, and readiness checkpoints across Release/QA/UAT/Change, ensuring deliverables are produced on time and that process exceptions (if any) are documented and approved
  • Maintain and improve release reporting (dashboards): define metrics (throughput, success rate, defects/incidents, change failure rate, cycle time), automate collection where feasible, and communicate trends and actions to leaders
  • Own communications and coordination for non-standard releases (patch/hotfix): define timeline, stakeholders, required approvals, deployment plan, validation steps, and post-release summary
  • Maintain the Known Defects (Risk Acceptance/Fail Forward) log for each release: document bugs approved to go to production, capture business/technical risk, required signoffs, workaround/monitoring plan, and target remediation date; report status through go-live and closure
  • During deployment windows, provide structured “release command” coordination: real-time status updates, issue triage/escalation, cutover checkpoints, and final completion confirmation to impacted companies and stakeholders
  • Provide scheduled off-hours/weekend release support for Sunday Enterprise Releases (approximately 5 Sundays/year), including execution coordination, communications, and post-release validation
