Job purpose:
Support the Bank’s mission through effective sales and service, targeted business development efforts and community involvement. The job holder is responsible for developing and managing personal and business banking relationships in accordance with the Bank’s core values and prescribed sales process in an assigned area.
Responsibilities for this role are:
- Seek out prospective clients.
- Carry out cross selling and upselling other Bank services and products.
- Develop and manage deposit and loan portfolios.
- Plan, implement and monitor growth and quality of credit portfolio and the bank business plan.
- Conduct field visits and carry out the verification of loans to improve portfolio management.
- Create a conducive customer service environment by building strong business relationships with the customers who result in trust, confidence, and contribute to retention and brand loyalty.
- Meet with retail, business, or corporate clients, listen to their needs, and provide advice on their financial needs.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients.
- Assist clients with services and products such as loans, cash management, bank account opening and queries, interest rate swaps, letters of credit, foreign exchange, insurance, and others.
- Monitor clients’ finances and commitments regularly. Maintain updated records of transactions.
- Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships.
- Assist customers with account opening activities.
- Open credit files for customers applying for loans.
- Loan origination
- Perform secretarial activities for the credit committee.
- Manage and ensure the reduction of NPLs rate.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, or in another related field.
- Minimum of at least three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar field within the Banking sector.
- Proven business and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and maintain good customers relationships.
- Ability to analyze and process loan applications and ability to monitor the financed projects.
- Good understanding of the Rwandan business environment.
- Must be fluent in Kinyarwanda or English (French is an added advantage)
- Knowledge of computer applications and proficient use of business software.
